The Rileigh and Raylee Foundation is a foundation honoring two children from Baldwin County. Rileigh Glass and Raylee Odom. Rileigh was born with Down syndrome and Raylee with Muscular Dystrophy. Both of these genetic conditions pose health risks that usually involve special medical intervention. A small group of family and friends of these two individuals have first hand knowledge of the hardships involved in caring for children with illnesses and disabilities. This group turned this awareness into the determination to establish what is known today as the Rileigh & Raylee Foundation.
 |
The Foundation was
established to assist families who have children, 18 years and
under, with special medical needs. To date, the Rileigh & Raylee
Foundation has helped several hundred families with expenses involving
heart surgeries, kidney transplants, brain tumors, and more.
This financial assistance is intended to help with expenses
typically not covered by group health plans.
The Foundation is unique in the fact that it is for a local cause. Many foundations are at a national level whereby funds are dispersed over such a broad sector, any local impact seems diluted. |
It is the mission of the Rileigh and Raylee Foundation to provide financial assistance to families in the Mobile, Baldwin, and surrounding communities who have children with special medical needs.
